Gold vermeil is a noble, regulated luxury metallurgy: 100% recycled 925 sterling silver plated with a generous 2.5 microns of pure 18-karat gold. Unlike flash-plated brass, it does not flake or oxidize when handled with mindful intention.
The golden rule of vermeil preservation is 'last on, first off'. Put on your Solis Amulet, signets, and cuffs after applying perfumes, lotions, and sunscreens. Alcohol vapors and cosmetic silicones can dull the hand-polished satin luster over time.
Never use ultrasonic cleaners with harsh chemicals or abrasive jewelers' rouges. Instead, gently buff your piece with the complimentary microfiber atelier polishing cloth provided in every box, and store each piece separately in its unbleached linen pouch to prevent surface friction.
